Privacy Policy

This describes data processing in the PackTrack app, on the website, and when contacting support.

Tracking numbers, parcel names, and status history are stored on your device. To update statuses, the app sends the tracking number to a supported tracking service for the selected carrier. This service also receives the IP address and technical details of the request.

The camera is used with your permission to read barcodes on the device. The number can be entered manually. On Android, the recognition service separately receives technical details about how the feature works and installation identifiers.

Advertising services may use the IP address, identifiers, and details about the device, app, and network, as well as data on impressions, clicks, and errors. This is needed to display and evaluate ads, personalize them, protect against fraud, and perform diagnostics. When consent is required, it is requested separately.

You can change your advertising choices or withdraw consent via Settings → Advertising settings. If a separate form is unavailable for your region and current settings, the app will inform you; for questions about data processing, you can contact the developer. Declining personalization does not disable ads and does not exclude all technical processing.

When you visit the website, the hosting provider retains the IP address, access time, and page URL in logs for seven days. Analytics are not used on the website. The selected language and display settings are stored in the browser until changed or site data is cleared.

Support requests are processed via an email service: your email address, message, and attachments are needed to respond. Forwarding to other services is not configured. We delete correspondence from the mailbox one week after the issue is resolved. The email service may temporarily retain technical and backup copies.

Parcels and history are stored on the device until deleted. You can delete them in the app; this will not change delivery information held by the tracking service. Device backups are managed by operating system tools.

Advertising and technical services separately store information about their operations—for example, ad impressions and errors. Deleting a parcel or the app does not delete these records. Their retention periods are determined by the respective providers.

We take reasonable measures to protect data, but absolute security of transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed.

Where GDPR applies, processing of parcel data and on-device barcode recognition are based on providing the selected features (Article 6(1)(b)). Support responses, website operation, and security are our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Advertising processing that requires consent is carried out based on your choice (Article 6(1)(a)).

Consent can be withdrawn. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to its withdrawal. The purposes and legal bases of independent processing by advertising and technical providers are described in their policies linked below.

Tracking, advertising, hosting, email services, and technical providers may process data outside your country, including in the US. Details about advertising and technical services are available below. To find out who receives your data and request copies of applicable safeguards, write to contact@ex4.dev.

The web hosting provider hosts services in the US and reports the application of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for transfers covered by it and standard contractual clauses (SCC) in other applicable cases.

The email provider reports possible technical support access from India, including when data is stored in the EU, based on intra-group SCC and supplementary safeguards.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, rectification, erasure, or portability of data, restrict processing, object to it, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Where provided by law, rights to opt out of the sale, sharing of data, or targeted advertising are also available.

To submit a request, write to contact@ex4.dev. We may request only the information necessary to verify your identity. For data on the device, your participation may be required. If data is accessible only to a provider, we will assist in directing the request to them.

PackTrack is intended for adult users (18+). If you believe that a child's data is being processed without the required permission, contact the developer.

The effective date is indicated at the beginning of the page. In the event of changes, we will provide separate notice or request consent if required by law.

Yury Nazarchuk, developer of PackTrack, is responsible for data processing. Questions about privacy: contact@ex4.dev.
